Non-applicability of Companies Act, 2013 for May 2014, Examinations

This is to bring to the notice of students that the Companies Act, 2013 notified in the Official Gazette on 30th August, 2013 (with partial enforcement of only 98 sections of the Companies Act, 2013 from 12th September, 2013) shall not be applicable for May 2014 examinations both at the Intermediate (IPC) and Final levels.

The examinations will be based only on the existing syllabus.

Complete Info regarding Direct Entry Scheme

In order to give overall information to the students who have registered for the Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence)Course under Direct Entry Scheme and their eligibility to commence practical training and eligibility to appearing in the Intermediate(Integrated Professional Competence) Examination - is shown in the consolidated statement for the information of stake holders:



Eligibility to appear in the IPCC Examination under Direct Entry:

Has completed nine months of practical training (including study course for a period of eight months which shall commence from the date of registration to the Course).


Eligibility to appear in the CA Final Exam under Direct Entry:

Students will be eligible for Final attempt after completion of two and half years of their Articleship training.

Renew Registration - Validity of CA-CPT, IPCC and Final registration

Latest News: Students who have completed / completing the prescribed registration period on or before December 31, 2013 for CA CPT, IPCC and Final can revalidate the registration without paying any revalidation fee, if such application is made on or before 31st December 2013. From January 1st onwards, they have to pay the prescribed revalidation along with the application form for revalidation of their registration in the respective courses.

The Revised Scheme of revalidation shall come into effect from 1st January, 2013 and shall be applicable to CPT1, Intermediate (IPC) Course and Final students.

Common Proficiency Course (CPC) students:
-Initial registration for Common Proficiency Course (CPC) is valid for 3 years.
-Each Revalidation shall be valid for 3 years.
-Fee for revalidation is Rs. 300/- for each revalidation.
-Students are required to ensure that they have valid registration before filling examination form for Common Proficiency Test (CPT).
-With a view to create awareness, it has been decided that no revalidation fees shall becharged till 31st December, 2013. Accordingly, CPT students who have registered on orbefore 31st December, 2010 are advised to apply for revalidation without paying any revalidation fee, till 31st December, 2013, so as to be eligible to appear in June, 2014 examinations onwards for 3 years from the date of revalidation.
-In case any student fails to apply for revalidation by 31st December, 2013, he/ she then shall have to pay the prescribed revalidation fee, as stated above, on or after 1stJanuary, 2014 for revalidating the registration.

Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course students:
-Initial registration for then IPCC, now Intermediate (IPC) Course is valid for 4 years.Further, students who switched over to then IPCC, now Intermediate (IPC) Course from erstwhile Intermediate/ Professional Education (Course-II)/ Professional Competence Course stream have valid registration period of 4 years and will be counted from thedate of switch over to then IPCC, now Intermediate (IPC) Course.
-Students, who have registered for the course on or before 31st December, 2009 and completing 4 years validity period till 31st December, 2013 are advised to apply for revalidation before 31st December, 2013 without paying revalidation fee. In case any student fails to apply for revalidation by 31st December, 2013 he/she then shall have topay the prescribed revalidation fee, as stated above, on or after 1st January, 2014 for revalidating the registration.
-Each Revalidation shall be valid for 4 years.
-Fee for revalidation is Rs. 400/- for each revalidation.
-Students are required to ensure before applying for admission to Intermediate (IPC)(IPC) Examination that they have valid registration.
-Students who have registered in Intermediate/ Professional Education (Course-II)/Professional Competence Course are required to switch over to Intermediate (IPC) Course in order to continue their studies in chartered accountancy course.

Final students:
-Initial registration for Final Course is valid for 5 years.
-Students, who have registered for the Final Course on or before 31st December, 2008(including shifted students of Final (Old) Course to Final (New) Course) are required to evalidate their Final Course registration. Such students are advised to apply for revalidation before 31st December, 2013 without paying revalidation fee. In case any student fails to apply for revalidation by 31st December, 2013 he/ she then shall have topay the prescribed revalidation fee, as stated above, after 1st January, 2014 for revalidating the registration.
-Fee for revalidation is Rs. 500/- for each revalidation.

-Each Revalidation shall be valid for 5 years.
-Students are required to ensure before applying for admission to Final examination that they have valid registration.

Procedure for Revalidation:
The request for revalidation shall be made in the below given format indicating the name of the Course (CPT/PCC/Intermediate (IPC) Course/Final), Registration Number,Date of Registration, Date of Expiry of Registration and duly signed by the registrant together with the prescribed fee, if applicable, by way of Demand Draft in fovour of“The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at Mumbai/ Chennai/ Kolkata/ Kanpur/ New Delhi as the case may be and sent to the concerned Decentralized office from where registration was done.

Procedure for providing certified copies of evaluated answer-books to the concerned examinees

1. The procedure laid down hereinafter specifically applies to providing inspection and/or certified copies of answer books relating to November 2011 examinations and onwards only..

2. Applications by an examinee seeking inspection/certified copies  of answer books can be made by him/her, in respect of any examination  conducted by ICAI, within 75 days from the date of declaration of respective result(s), with the applicable fee. However, examinees can seek inspection/certified copies of evaluated answer books beyond 75 days but within 90 days from the date of declaration of results, with the late fee prescribed



Inspection of evaluated answer books will be provided, generally, within 30 days
from the date of receipt of the application by ICAI.


Procedure: 

1. An examinee can apply for inspection and/or certified copies of his/her evaluated answer books necessarily in his/her own handwriting, in the prescribed format, (copy enclosed ) giving specific details of the following along with the requisite fees:

a. Name of the examinee

b. Examination , say PCE, IPCE, Final etc

c. Year and Month of the examination

d. Roll No of the examinee

e. Answer books of paper(s)/subjects to be inspected/certified copies sought

f. Student Registration Number

g. Address for communication

h. E-mail address

i. Mobile number


2. Physically/visually/mentally challenged examinees who had been permitted by ICAI to engage the services of a scribe/writer for writing the examination, shall submit the application seeking inspection of the relevant evaluated answer books, in the handwriting of the same scribe/writer.

3. If the examinee had appeared in Hindi medium, his/her application should be in Hindi.

4. Typewritten applications will not be entertained.

5. The application should be duly signed by the examinee.

6. The examinee shall also furnish a declaration in the format prescribed. (Copy enclosed)

7. The hand written application accompanied by the applicable fee and a copy of the

  2. Student Reg. No.(SRO)
  3. Paper(s) to be verified
  4. Examination details – CA CPT / PCC / IPCC / Final
  5. Address for Communication
If the Candidate opted for English then it is obvious that you need to make the application in the English Version and If the Candidates has opted Hindi as his Medium for writing Examination then candidate should make duly signed with requisite fee by way of Demand Draft in the name of ICAI(details below).
Time limit for Sending the Application:
 Application should be submitted within one month from the date of declaration of Examination results.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the captioned examinations will not be conducted in the Government Girls College, Ratlam. The said examinations will now be held in Shri Jain Vidya Niketan Hr. Sec. School (Jain School), Sagod Road, Near Bajna Bus Stand, Ratlam.

Accordingly, all the candidates allocated to the examination centre initially in Government Girls College, Ratlam have been re-allocated to Shri Jain Vidya Niketan Hr. Sec. School (Jain School), Sagod Road, Near Bajna Bus Stand, Ratlam.

Candidates appearing in the captioned examinations from Ratlam may note that the Intermediate (IPC) and Final Examinations, November 2013 will now be held in theShri Jain Vidya Niketan Hr. Sec.
